DISCIPLINE Lead Inspector
COURSE DURATION 48 hours
PREREQUISITES -High school or GED equivalent -Complete a minimum of 75 inspections and reinspections under a Master Lead Inspector within two years of initial licensure
ACCREDITING BODY Massachusetts Department of Public Health
INDIVIDUAL APP REQUIREMENTS $325 annual fee
INDIVIDUAL EXAM FEES Third party exam, no exam fee
COMPANY APP REQUIREMENTS -Evaluation Firms must employ a trained Lead Inspector who has XRF analyzer training
REFRESHER TRAINING Annual refresher training is required.
RECIPROCITY There are no reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs for the Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor disciplines.
