PREREQUISITES | -Successfully complete and receive a course completion certificate for a lead-based paint inspector training course -A Bachelor's degree and one (1) year experience in a related field such as lead, asbestos, housing repair or inspection, and/or environmental hazard remediation work, OR -An Associates degree and two (2) years of experience in a related field such as lead, asbestos, housing repair or inspection, and/or environmental hazard remediation work, OR -Certification as an industrial hygienist, professional engineer, registered architect, and/or certification in a related engineering/health/environmental field such as safety professional, or environmental scientist, OR -A high school diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience in a related field such as lead, asbestos, housing repair or inspection, and/or environmental remediation work |

INDIVIDUAL APP REQUIREMENTS | $100 for initial license, $50 for renewal every two years |
INDIVIDUAL EXAM FEES | Third party exam. Exam fee included in application fee. |
COMPANY APP REQUIREMENTS | $250 every two years |
REFRESHER TRAINING | Annual refresher training is required. |
RECIPROCITY | -Reciprocity with Nebraska and EPA states. -To apply for licensure under reciprocity, an individual must complete a Lead Occupation License Reciprocity Application form and submit all appropriate documentation as requested on the application -Individuals applying for a lead abatement supervisor, lead inspector or risk assessor license under reciprocity will soon be required to take Missouri's third party reciprocity exam. |
