COURSE DURATION 16 hours
PREREQUISITES -Successfully complete and receive a course completion certificate for a lead-based paint inspector training course -Be a registered professional engineer or a licensed architect, OR -Bachelors degree AND 1 year experience in construction or environmental field, OR -Associates degree AND 2 years experience in a related field, OR -High School/GED AND 3 years experience in related field, OR
ACCREDITING BODY Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality
INDIVIDUAL APP REQUIREMENTS $150 annually
INDIVIDUAL EXAM FEES Third party exam. $75 exam fee.
COMPANY APP REQUIREMENTS $350 for abatement or renovation firm, $500 for a combo, annually
REFRESHER TRAINING Successfully complete refresher training every 3 years
RECIPROCITY There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source.
