REFRESHER TRAINING | Certification as an Environmental Lead Technician-in-Training shall be for the purpose of receiving on-the-job training in conducting environmental lead inspections and shall be limited in the following manner: -The initial period of certification shall be for three (3) months -At the conclusion of the initial three (3) month period, the Environmental Lead Technicianin-Training shall: -Pass the written and practicum examinations required by �16.5, OR -Reapply for a three (3) month extension, OR -Discontinue environmental lead inspection activities |
RECIPROCITY | There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source. |
