TN - Lead Certification - Project Designer

DISCIPLINE Project Designer
COURSE DURATION 8 hours
PREREQUISITES -Successful completion of an accredited training course for supervisors, AND -Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related profession, and 1 year of experience in building construction and design or a related field, OR -Four years of experience in building construction and design or a related field.
ACCREDITING BODY Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation
INDIVIDUAL APP REQUIREMENTS $300 initial, renew every 3 years, $150 every year inbetween
INDIVIDUAL EXAM FEES Third party exam. $70 for each attempt.
COMPANY APP REQUIREMENTS $500 initial, renew every 3 years, $300 every year inbetween
REFRESHER TRAINING -Every 3 years if the individual completed an accredited refresher-training course with a course test and hands-on assessment -Take refresher within 1 year PRIOR to expiration of current certificate -Submit application to refresh at least 60 days PRIOR to expiration of certificate
RECIPROCITY There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source.
