INDIVIDUAL APP REQUIREMENTS | -$150 for one year -$275 for two years |
INDIVIDUAL EXAM FEES | Third party exam. $50 exam fee. |
COMPANY APP REQUIREMENTS | $75 every 2 years |
REFRESHER TRAINING | Eight (8) hours of refresher training must be completed every 2 years |
RECIPROCITY | There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source. |

NOTES | -For the total of 24 hours needed for intial training, individuals may take an 8-hour lead sampling course plus a 16-hour hazard investigation course. -Lead Hazard Investigators may conduct clearances, lead hazard screens, risk assessments, EBL investigations, and leadsafe investigations. -Lead Hazard Investigators may not do lead inspections or use an XRF analyzer. |
