REFRESHER TRAINING | Eight (8) hours of refresher training must be completed every 2 years |
RECIPROCITY | There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source. |

NOTES | -For the total of 32 hours needed for initial training, individuals may take an 8-hour lead-safe renovation course plus an 8-hour lead abatement worker plus 16-hour lead abatement supervision courses, OR -Out-of-state 32-hour lead abatement supervisor course -Lead Abatement Supervisors oversee and perform lead abatement and leadsafe renovation, and maintain required records -Note: A 32-hour out-of-state trained supervisor is NOT qualified to conduct lead-safe renovation work in Wisconsin. |
