ACCREDITING BODY North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
INDIVIDUAL APP REQUIREMENTS $150 every two years
INDIVIDUAL EXAM FEES Third party exam. $75 exam fee.
COMPANY APP REQUIREMENTS $50 annually
REFRESHER TRAINING -Per 10A NCAC 41C .0802, an applicant for initial certification shall have successfully completed an accredited initial training course for the specific category within the 12 months immediately preceding application, or, if initial training was completed more than 12 months prior to application, the applicant shall have successfully completed an accredited refresher training course for the specific category at least every 24 months from the date of completion of initial training and within 12 months prior to applying for certification. -Submit a completed application, refresher training certificate, a photograph, and appropriate fees.
RECIPROCITY Limited reciprocity agreements with the Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi lead-based paint programs and may accept training for certification from those training providers accredited by Alabama, Georgia or Mississippi's state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact the HHCU before taking training from any source not included on the North Carolina list below.
