COURSE DURATION 32 hours
PREREQUISITES -1 year experience as certified lead abatement worker, OR -2 years experience in building trades or related field
ACCREDITING BODY Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH)
INDIVIDUAL APP REQUIREMENTS -App fee: $25 -Mar-Aug; $150 -Sept-Feb: $75
INDIVIDUAL EXAM FEES Third party exam. $75 exam fee.
COMPANY APP REQUIREMENTS -App fee: $100 -(Cert) Dec-May: $220 -(Cert) Jun-Nov: $110 -$220 Annual renewal
REFRESHER TRAINING Successfully complete refresher training every 3 years
RECIPROCITY There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source.
