PREREQUISITES | -Successfully complete and receive a course completion certificate for a lead abatement supervisor training course -Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or an environmental safety disclipline and 1 year of experience in building construction, design, or a related field, OR -Designation as a registered architect, registered professional engineer, certified industrial hygienist, certified safety professional, or a certified asbestos project designer, OR -2 years of work experience in regulated lead work, asbestos-related work, asbestos management activities, or other environmental remediation, OR -4 years experience in building construction, design, or a related field. |

RECIPROCITY | There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source. |
